On the 25th of September 2023 the Lord Choudrey CBE SI Pk Chairman Conservative Friends of Pakistan hosted an exclusive dinner for the Prime Minster of Pakistan Anwaar ul Haq Kakar at the House of Lords.
The event was attended by senior Minsters; members of both houses of Parliament; captains of industry and diplomats.
The Prime Minister who was visiting UK for the first time since his appointment in August; got a chance to interact with a cross section of British Society; who in turn used the opportunity to discuss the multiple challenges beginning faced by Pakistan and how UK could assist Pakistan in overcoming these challenges.
The event hosted by His Lordship was designed to further enhance the historical bonds between the UK & Pakistan.
Some of those who attended the event included The High Commissioner for Pakistan HE Dr Mohammad Faisal; Foreign Office Minister Lord Ahmed; Minister of London Paul Scully MP; Vice Chairs of the Conversative Party Lord Hannan & Saqib Bhatti MP; former Party Chairs Lord Pickles & Lord Maude; Deputy Chair of the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council Lord Swire; the Chief Executive of the Association of the Conversative Clubs Lord Smith & Lord Bailey former candidate for the London Mayor.
